Where did I come from? Mexico City, Mexico

How long I’ve been with Hope:  Technically since May 2007, but a little piece of me has been with Hope since its birth in 2002.

Primary area of ministry:  Communications and Missions Pastor and Office Manager (apparently I drew the straw for the longest ministry title).

Training and experience:  Serving in various ministry responsibilities since 1991, leading local and international missions trips and becoming a credentialed minister in 2010, Bachelor of Business Administration University of Texas at Austin and Marcom experience at Commemorative Brands, Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices.

Things I can't live without:  My iPhone, a restaurant jacket and a purse with compartments out the wazoo to best organize my life (and yet I still lose my keys in there).

Family info:  The most amazing man on the planet my husband Craig, incredible grown son Johnathon and our miracle child Ferris (aka The Bean).

Favorite food:  Yes… Oh, you mean narrow it down? Just about any kind of Asian food, authentic interior Mexican food and bread. I really like bread.

Favorite movies: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Some Kind of Wonderful, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version), and the Toy Story trilogy.

Most embarrassing moment: Discovering my skirt was tucked into my panty hose in the back after coming back from the restroom in a diner while on a date. Nice.

Most fun memory: Cruise vacation with Craig and all the frequent times we get together with family. Love my family!

Favorite pastimes: Family time, exploring new places, reading, and having a great do-nothing day.

Favorite Scripture: “For I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do anything that causes me shame, but that I will always be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honor Christ, whether I live or I die.” Philippians 1:20 NLT

Favorite family tradition: National Chilaquiles Day (my sister and I invented it), Christmas with all the Fords and Haddocks together (did I mention I love my family?) and Thanksgiving at my Aunt Susie’s

Favorite style of music: I have hip hop/rap still in my blood since my youth. LOVE TobyMac, Grits and KJ-52, but I also enjoy rock type worship like Hillsong United and of course the Hope Worship Team!

Favorite sport: I don’t play any sport lest a loose ball hit my head, but I like to watch football.

Favorite team: Texas Longhorns and whatever team our son Johnathon coaches, so go Tulia High School Hornets!

You may not know this about me: At random moments, the word “pickle” pops into my head. I don’t know what that means, but maybe someone reading this will…pickle…see what I mean?

How long I’ve been with Hope:  Since 2002.

Primary area of ministry:  Music Ministry.

Training and experience:  18 years leading Music Ministry teams at La Vernia Christian Teaching Center, New Life Christian Center in San Marcos, Chi Alpha Campus Ministries at Texas State University & HOPE.

Things I can't live without:  Knowing that God is in control of my future; my wife.

Family info:  I’m married to an amazing godly woman handpicked by God for me. We have two amazing boys and one more on the way.

Favorite food:  BBQ brisket, ribs or peach cobbler ... I’m getting hungry now ...

Favorite movies:  Anything John Wayne (Favorite John Wayne Quote: Life is tough, it’s even tougher if you're stupid.)

Most embarrassing moment:  When I was in Jr. High I gave a girl a rose and she gave it back. (I’m pretty much immune to embarrassment now though).

Most fun memory:  My boys catching their first fish at the coast.

Favorite pastimes:  Hunting / Going to the coast with my family.

Favorite family tradition: Having Thanksgiving at Grandma’s house with all the cousins & playing football.

Favorite style of music: Christian Rock (Lincoln Brewster)

Favorite sport: Football / Golf

Favorite team: COWBOYS/ASTROS/SPURS!!!

You may not know this about me: I sang the national anthem at a San Antonio Spurs Game. I used to break horses and was a team roper (heeler).

How long I’ve been with Hope:  Since the beginning.

Primary area of ministry:  Music Ministry.

Training and experience:  Bachelor in Music and Certification in Music Education, all-level from Southwest Texas State. I've been leading worship in various roles since 1997, including leading youth worship at Hillcrest Assembly of God in Seguin, TX from 1999-2002. I was also involved in Chi Alpha Campus Ministries from 1998-2002 at SWT in San Marcos.

Things I can't live without:  God, David and hairdryers.

Family info:  I'm married to the man of my dreams: tall, dark, handsome, guitar player! I have 2 (soon-to-be 3) incredibly talented and smart boys —Dillon, Christian, and Ethan. I am blessed!

Favorite food:  Mexican.

Favorite movies:  Everafter, The Mask of Zorro, Elf

Most embarrassing moment:  I sat on the top of my desk in 5th grade math class and broke the top off. That was NOT funny!

Most fun memory:  I had the great idea of actually tying our wedding rings on the ring pillow in our wedding. We ended up having to cut them off with Pastor Bobby's knife . . . on stage. My great idea didn't work out as I planned.

Favorite pastimes:  golf with the family, sitting around a camp fire, baking for family/friends, relaxing in a coffee shop, dates with my husband.

Favorite Scripture:  Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart. Lean NOT on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

Favorite family tradition:  Going to the coast in the summer.

Favorite style of music:  Christian, of course. Toby Mac. "old school" DC Talk (to be honest). That's not what I always listen to, but that's what I really enjoy.

Favorite sport:  Recreational softball, volleyball, and golf (I'd rather play than watch).

Favorite team:  Whatever team David and the boys are cheering for (like I said, I'd rather play than watch).

You may not know this about me:  I am VERY sentimental and care deeply about others, especially friends from my childhood. I miss them dearly. I LOVE my life now, but I wish all my childhood friends could be here with me, too. And that's the truth.

Things I can't live without:  Chocolate.

Family info:  One son who lives in New York.

Favorite food:  Chocolate fudge.

Favorite movies:  Would rather read a good book.

Most fun memory:  dinner dates with my son when he was 4 years old.

Favorite pastimes:  Sewing.

Favorite Scripture: Romans 8:38-39.

Favorite family tradition: sitting in front of a fire on Christmas Eve with my family, drinking hot chocolate & reading Luke’s story of the birth of Jesus.

Favorite style of music: Any type of Christian music.

Favorite sport: fishing (is that a sport?)

Favorite team: any team my son played on.
